Chassis & Body

Up

The chassis is the foundations of the vehicle and therefore a vital part of any full restoration. Work involves shot blasting, repairing and replacing any damaged or rusty sections, checking alignment and applying the protective coatings

Left - Lifting a heavily braced body from its chassis  Right - The chassis after shot blasting and repairs

Once the preliminary chassis  work (above) has been carried out components can be refitted to rolling chassis stage.

Left - Re-fitment of components to restored chassis  Right - A completed 2ltr Lagonda rolling chassis

Although mechanical restoration and fabrications are our specialty, we are often asked to arrange and oversee body work as part of a full restoration. We use only the best firms and craftsmen to carry out this work and pass on their fees at cost,  giving you the convenience of a "one stop shop".

Left - Removing a dent from a Daimler           Right - Body work commissioned from Rod Jolley
