Engine rebuilding

Up Specifications Dismantling

FVR offer individual attention to special engines - these include all Vintage, Veteran and those classics who's relative rarity justifies the the number of careful hours required. All racing and other competition engines are accepted.

Try to plan engine rebuild time well in advance - For example: if you intend to fully restore a vehicle give us your engine at the beginning rather than towards the end of the other works. We will do our best to match our completion time with yours

Below are a few examples of our engine rebuilds

Singer racing engine on test - this one is supercharged, running on methanol

Same Singer - fitted with new Cosworth pistons and Carillo rods

MG PB - Full engine rebuild       Triumph (Gloria) Vitesse - short engine

Jap speedway / cooper 500 engine    Alfin barrel for the same engine

Lagonda 4.5ltr - ready for delivery  Same engine showing roller chain conversion

Engine from Lagonda 1 (see Recent Projects for more details)

Further Details of engine work can be found  by following the specifications and dismantling links and on the White Metaling pages

NB: General Engine Machining

Although for peace of mind, we carry out many of the machining required for full engine rebuilds in house, we prefer not to accept the general engine machining (apart from white metaling) that can be completed by normal "high street" establishments. Thank you for your understanding
