Up Advisable Optional Racing Engines

The hours spent reconditioning a vintage, veteran or classic car engine can be considerable. Add this to the time needed to remove and refit the engine and the consequential loss of road or track "fun time" can be very frustrating.

The final decision whether to re-new parts, re-machine them or leave well alone rests with you, although many customers prefer us to use our discretion, while being kept informed of the choices that match their budget and acceptable "down time" for the vehicle.

Depending on the rarity of the engine; it may be possible to source some components "off the shelf". However, we can arrange the re-manufacture of any component, either by ourselves, or by one of our trusted suppliers.

An array of reconditioned, bought in and re-manufactured engine parts awaiting customers inspection before assembly

Below is a typical list of Essential operations that may be required. For Advisable (depending on condition), Optional and Racing specifications please click here or on the buttons above.

Renew all seals and gaskets (solid copper ones can be annealed and re-used if in good condition).
